Yesterday I turned 33. Thankfully Jared bought numbered candles just in case anybody forgot how old I was. My birthday landed on a Saturday this year and so it was a celebration all day long. It started out with a delicious breakfast made by Jared and the kids along with an onslaught of homemade cards. The kids had their last indoor soccer session so I went and cheered on my two favourite soccer stars and was able to watch Jordan score the goal of the season. Then we hopped in the car and headed to Vernon. Jared watched the kids while I went out and did some shopping, then I took the older three to "the Muppets," and it was amazing! I highly recommend it. The best was when Lucy whispered in my hear "Miss Piggy is so beautiful!" with a huge smile. That night I took Jordan and Lucy to the Rotary Carol concert to listen to mom's choir. They were fantastic and it was a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. When we got home we had cake and little party at mom and dad's before Jared and I headed out to our ugly sweater and balls party at a friends. Phew! What a day. Love my little party animals!

Unfortunately, we couldn't find any ugly sweaters to wear so we just decided to wear our new Christmas sweaters instead:) It was great to see friends and enjoy the delicious balls that everyone had brought. We went to Angie and Jeff's after for a little afterparty and stayed up way, way too late. But it was definitely worth it:)

Last weekend we went up to Silver Star and stayed at mom and dad's condo for the opening weekend. It was so nice to be away just our little family. We went it the hot tub two or three times a day, went sledding, drank lots of hot chocolate and watched several movies. Lucy's favourite part was definitely taking this family picture. Can't wait to get out snowboarding this year after being pregnant last year.
