Rafting on Toby Creek
Panarama was jam packed with fun activities. Rafting was one of them. Toby Creek is right in Panarama and has class II and III rapids. It was a blast and definitely wet our appetites for more rafting in the future. We filled two boats with cousins and spouses.
This was our boat.

The crew at the end of the fun trip. Every one here is family except the one guy and his kid in the bottom left hand side of the pic. We think he thought dad was the trip photographer.

My 95 yr old Grandpa riding preparing to ride the gondola.
A favourite activity was riding the free gondola from the village to the river. It was a little scary with lots of kids, but they loved it!

GAMES DAY AT PANARAMA

One morning all the cousins got together and we played games. Jared and I were in charge. Jared led them through some fun races and parachute games.
The kids loved the parachute!
Jorji, Emmam Rani and Olivia waiting in line at the fish pond.
What's a family reunion without a fish pond!

Jordan and Olivia ready for the race!
Jorji and Livy lead the way as Rani and Grandma cheer them on!
Jordan and second cousin Anna ready for the three legged race!
Leading the way! Good job girls. Some of my favourite family reunion memories are playing games with my cousins, hopefully our kids will have those same great memories. Although ours took place in the prairies in Southern Alberta and this one took place at a resort in the mountains:) Ah times have changed.

WE MADE IT!

After much convincing by Caleb we did make it to the actual summit. I was satisfied to stop at one of the earlier "summits" but was happy to make it to the top. This was a challenging hike but well worth it as the views were incredible.
This was a hot, glorious day, and our knees were grateful when it was over.
Mountain man dad led the pack and still ceases to amaze with his endurance. This was one of the first activities at panarama. Jared stayed back at the house and watched the kids and he knew he had two golf days to look forward to!

Spectacular views around every corner, each one higher than the last as the hike was literally a straight up climb with few to none switchbacks.

So much for a relaxing week. A hike in the mountains is too tempting to resist.
