This past Friday, Jared took Nate out for a father son campout with the guys at church. Nathan has been so excited to go camping and the trip didn't disappoint. According to Jared, Nate spent most of the time wrestling with the teenage boys and playing with his little friends and dad. He was in heaven to have dad all to himself.
Last Friday, Jordan's elementary school had their annual spring carnival. It was madness. The kids played their little hearts out. We were the very last kids to have our face painted at the very end of the carnival, so we let the kids keep their tiger faces for a little while. Last year when I helped with face painting, we did rainbows and spiders and hearts....yeah we were showed up this year.
We were soooooooooooo grateful to Jared's parents who watched the kids a couple of weeks ago in Langley for us while Jared and I were busy rehearsing and singing. Nate loves playing with the 'claw.'
So while Jared and I were busy at the temple, Jordan was busy tearing up the waterslide at our hotel. This waterslide was intense, I lost my stomach every time I went down. It was completely black inside and so fast. Lucy and Jordan loved it, it proved to be a little much for Nate though.
We had so much fun hanging out with friends and family down in Langley.

We were singing "Redeemer of Isreal" when the Prophet, President Monson, along with the Temple presidency and their wives came out for the cornerstone ceremony. Mom, the director, had her back to them, but she said that it was marvelous to see all of our faces light up as we saw them.
President Monson was so light hearted, happy and actually very funny. When we first came out, he went behind my mom and began to conduct us. It was pretty cool to be able to interact so closely with him.
We took the kids to Chucky Cheese while in Langley and they loved it!! It was heaven on earth for them. Pizza, pop, and little cup full of tokens. What more could they ask for?
The kids were pretty excited to see the completed temple. On friday, I took Jordan to see the Temple Youth Celebration that was held at the langley event centre. It was amazing. All of the youth from the Vancouver Temple district have been practicing and preparing for this event and it was simply incredible. President Monson addressed the group before it started and had us sing O Canada as an opening song. He also had a little flashing Canada pin. It was such a great weekend.We've been so busy since coming home: Lots of work (for me and Jared) soccer (for all of us), Blastball (for Jordan and Nate), campouts, piano lessons, achievement days, gardening and yard work. Whew! We're busy but happy. The weather has been beautiful so we've been making the most of it!
