Just some pictures from the best summer ever.....

This past weekend we went to the kootenays to visit Jared's family and to play in an annual memorial golf tournament. What a fabulous time we had! Seadooing, beaching, visiting and golfing, you can't really go wrong. The weather was hot, hot, hot, so we spent two days at the beach, the arrow lake which is usually quite "refreshing" was as warm as i have ever felt it. We always just have a blast on the boats. This year we got out the tube and the kids, big and little had a blast cruising all over the lake. All of the kids this year loved the seadoos, Lucy would go and grab her life jacket when she wanted to go out. And Nathan and Jordan probably went out the most out of everybody. Oh yeah, and a crazy thing happened this weekend: I fell in love with golf. I did! I just had the best time out there golfing with Jared, Rob, Steph and Ben. It's amazing; fresh air, a fun car to drive and a small round object to hit as far as you can! Jared was a great coach and I can't wait to go out again (tomorrow). Needless to say, jared is thrilled with my newly acquired love, now we can actually talk golf!

During their tube ride, Nathan and Jordan kept giving the signal (thumbs up) to go faster. Brave.

So we left our Jorji and Nate in Castlegar for the week to enjoy some time with grandma and grandpa. It was sad leaving them but Lucy made up for the loss by being as loud as possible on the way home (not crying or mad, just screaming!). But our house has been quiet and we miss them but are so happy for them to be having their own adventure. They're coming home on Saturday. Jared and I decided to do a little project for them as a surprise, so we've been busy with that (will post pics on the project later). I've also really enjoyed having all of this one on one time with Lucy.

Our handsome nate had so much fun playing at Grandma's. Every morning he'd go and hop in the hot tub to play (they cooled it to about 85 degrees).

My man

Oh I just couldn't resist!

We love our new little cousins!

Playing with uncle Bob

Lucy had a need, a need for speed!

Nathan and "the Claw" going for a ride.

All six of the grandkids. Lucy just loved the babies! She always wanted to hug and kiss them and poke their faces of course. Whenever she would them she would point and squeal "bebe."
Steph with Charlie (please someone correct me if i am wrong).
Camping at Scotch Creek

Mid-July, we packed up the kids and tent trailor and set off to go camping with the kids for a few days. We didn't have a reservation anywhere but were confident we'd get into Herald Park, a provincial campground right on the Lake about 20 minutes from S.A. After getting our name on a waiting list and waiting around with other anxious campers waiting to hear their fate, we were told that the campground was full and to try again tomorrow. There was no way we were turning back so we went onto option #2 - Scotch Creek. Now Scotch Creek is actually our favourite place to camp but we wanted to try something new. In the end as luck would have it, we arrived at Scotch Creek just as some campers had just left and took the one available spot in the entire campground. We were thrilled! We had such a nice and relaxing time playing at the beach, the park and around our campsite. Bikes were ridden, kayaks were paddled (?), and books were read. A wonderful time was had by all.

We've tried to hit a beach or a pool everyday this summer, it's been so fun to be able to spend so much time with the kids. And the weather has been sooooo hot that our lakes are just beautiful!

Lucy's first ride in the kayak. She love it!

And dad loved taking her.

Jordan made lots of friends camping and there was always some little girl coming by our campsite to see if Jordan could come and play.

Best summer ever continued....

Pool + trampoline = best yard ever!

Mom and Jorji always have the best time in the pool together. They both love to wear masks and dive underwater. My brothers always tease my mom by saying that her dream job would be scrubbing barnacles off ships because she loves diving and being under the water so much.
Caleb and Kailey were out late july for a very quick visit and we were so glad that we caught them. They are always so fun to talk to. Good luck with your thesis Caleb, you are on the home stretch!

We love "funny" uncle Caleb!

Nate has learned to dive! This was day 1 of learning and I just love this picture. I think the life jacket definitely takes the edge off a belly flop because this kid is fearless. He can go in head first and he also does flips off the side and diving board. He's only 3, he's nuts!
A favourite activity at the pool, pushing in the grown ups! Dad grabbed Nate's arm one time and pulled him in to. The glare that he gave grandpa after was to die for, however he quickly forgave him and spent the rest of the afternoon following him around.
Jorji has learned to dive this summer! This was taken the day she figured it out. Now she can dive for distance or she can dive down and touch the bottom. She is amazing. I couldn't believe how quickly she learned.

Nate, our very "special" boy.

My little beauties. We love visiting mom and dad and their lovely pool!
