Yeah, I didn't think so. Well, it has to be done. Every year. This past Saturday we took the kids to Demilles Farm here in Salmon Arm to see the animals and pick out our pumpkins. Basically we spent the afternoon enjoying the sunshine and taking a million pictures of the kids. The kids had a fantastic time. It took them exactly 2 minutes and 38 seconds to pick out their pumpkins and it took jared and I at least half an hour to pick out ours. I can't believe the kids put up with us.
Our little pumpkins.
Lucy seemed confused by all the orange.
We do love the fall. The crisp air is so refreshing and it brings us back to our U of I days of playing soccer and watching Football.

Demilles Cont'd
Jordan, or Holly as she likes to be called is having a great time in kindergarten. Yesterday she came home and said "Hey mom, I know how to say "Can I have some soap?" in French. "Oh really?" I say. "Yeah" she says and then busts out with the best french accent ever "Est-ce-que je peux avoir du savon?" So impressive. It's great to see she's learning the essentials right away:)
I love Lucy as the the little Piggy! I'm ashamed to admit that this picture came at a cost. Little Lucy lost her balance right after this pic and toppled over, luckily it was a soft landing.
Mighty Machines! Nate, as do most boys his age, loves huge machinery, the greasier, the better!
Since Jordan has started Kindergarten, I've really enjoyed spending time with Nathan. This is one of his favourite activites - putting his shirt over his head and covering his face, then I have to find him, or simply wearing his shirt like this. I feel bad for his shirts, but he loves it.
I have very recently begun playing computer games with him on Treehouse. He's amazing!! I'll show him how to do a game once and he can pick it up! He has the best motor skills because he can manoever the mouse around, click and drag items and even go back to the mainpage on his own to choose a new game. He's only two! This seems a little crazy to me, we like to think he is a genius. Isn't that why you have parents?
One Sunday we couldn't find Nathan. We were all up having lunch. We called his name and looked in his bedroom where we thought he was. but to no avail. We downstairs to search and discovered this:
asleep behind the cushion. What a little sweetie!

Eating! Definitely not sleeping. But this picture was too adorable not to post. At about six months she started eating solids and hasn't looked back. She's been enjoying an assortment of vegetables, cereals, breads and fruits. So far, I think her favourite is sweet potato...can you blame her.
For Thanksgiving we went to Castlegar to visit Doug and Bernice and believe it or not these are my only two pics from the trip! Well I actually have about 15 pics but they are all different variations of these two pictures, good old digital. On Saturday while Jared worked with his dad in the back on his shop I enjoyed a spontaneous spa experience at our aunt Chrissy's house, where I got my hair cut, coloured and even my eyebrows plucked!
We enjoyed a fantastic dinner with lots of family and friends and had a great time with the Kings. My only complaint would be that not nearly enough games were played....except for a fantastic game of hide and seek outside in the dark after thanksgiving dinner initiated by bernice. We'll have to beat the boys at rook next time Bernice!

These were taken sometime in September when it was so warm out! She doesn't sit still anymore. Infact the only time she ever did was for the five minutes or so when I was taking her picture. Unless she is holding a kickbutt toy that she loves she won't sit still, she's always reaching and crawling for something or someone. Her motto with crawling is slow and steady. We think it's a great motto!
