Nathan's New Favourite Place
A couple of weeks ago, I couldn't find Nathan and finally discovered him happy as a little clam,
snugly fit in the bathroom sink busily brushing his teeth. Since then, if ever the bathroom door is left open, Nathan can be found in his favourite spot. Sure there have been some tumbles, but that doesn't seem to hold him back from climbing everything in the house! In fact he's climbing up me right now.
My mom actually first discovered his climbing abilities. For Jared's Valentine's present to me we went and stayed up at Silver Star and went skiing the next day while my parents watched the kids. This was our first night away since Nathan's been born. They both had a great time and did really well (Jordan would move there if we let her). My mom discovered him standing on the kitchen table that night and he hasn't stopped since.
Speaking of Valentine's Day, we did have a fabulous time up at Silver Star hottubbing, snowboarding and having a night without the kids. At 5 am we both woke up and looked at eachother and laughed. I guess our bodies just couldn't shake that habit of being woken up by our little blonde alarm clock. We did however go back to sleep!
Jared's got spring break starts next week for two weeks! Yeah! We can't wait. He has school this weekend (his masters) and then two weeks off of that too! We're not too sure of our plans yet but they will mostly likely include a trip to Castlegar, snowboarding, visiting Halcyon HotSprings, lots of games and basically just having a gay old time. Jared has volleyball playoffs next week and I have two more indoor soccer games left that I don't want to miss so we'll be around probably most of the time.
Okkk......so Jared and some of his friends at worked have formed a band to play at the school talent show tomorrow. When I say formed a band, I mean made a band out of thin air since none of them play the actually instrument that they are playing. Jared is on drums and is actually very good! Especially since has has never played before. All those years of air drumming are coming into play. They're playing "Red Flag" by Billy Talent. It's gonna blow the roof of Shuswap Middle School! I'm going to take the kids to see it tomorrow and videotape it! It should be a blast!
