Some Unfinished Spring Business...

Introducing Harry Quatchi King. So our family is definitely not ready for a dog but apparently we are ready for a guinea pig! We told Jordan years ago that when she turned seven she could have a pet. Jordan who never forgets anything, has been counting down and finally turned seven in June. After doing some research, Jordan (along with mom and dad) decided that a guinea pig would be a perfect pet, so after weeks of shopping for the cutest guinea pig around, we finally found Harry! The kids couldn't be happier.
Jordan is a such a great pet-owner. She signed out a book on guinea pigs weeks before we got Harry and learned all there is to know to have a happy guinea pig. We're pretty proud of the responsibility Jordan's assumed.

Now, just as long as we can keep Harry out of Lucy's hands, Harry should have a long fruitful life in the King household.

Our garden! Spring and summer means garden time
The Green Dragons - Jordan's U7 soccer team. These girls played sooooo well this year. Their passing was incredible and they all played so hard. I'm gonna miss this little team, it was definitely a special little group of girls and I was so proud of them this year. I know winning isn't supposed to be too terribly important at this age, but these girls were really good at it:)

Nate had his first year of soccer this year and surprise, surprise, he loved it! And I loved his sexy coach in blue.
Nate's group only played games against other teams a couple of times this year, Nate excelled in a game setting and had so much fun. I was so proud of him!
The kids also played blastball this spring. It's a modified t-ball type game where they don't play real games but instead do skill building activities and small games. Jordan and Nate were able to play in the same group so it was really great to watch them play together. They also got their first ever medals at the end of the season! And a popsicle! They were thrilled!

It's mid-July, we just got back from a fantastic trip to the Kootenays and are heading out camping tomorrow for a couple of nights. We are full blown into summer, lots of summer pictures to come.
