Summer Fun...Where to Begin??

I can't believe that tomorrow is September! Our summer has just flown by and has definitely been one to remember. I haven't blogged once so I am incredibly behind and intimidated by the daunting task ahead so here is a start: Camping at Herald Park on our very own Shuswap Lake and then visiting Jared's family in Castlegar. My goal is to have summer blogged by the time school starts....but in the meantime here is an abbreviated list of what we've been up to:

camping
swimming in lakes and pools
visits from friends shortridges
Roots and Blues music festival
family reunion on the Oregon coast
visit from Rob, Steph and the boys
meeting little Sydney Leleux for the first time
painting our kitchen, spare room and downstairs bathroom
tubing down Shuswap River x 3
climbing up waterfalls and jumping off rope swings
Wedding with Jordan being the flowergirl
2 trips to Castlegar
Movies and drive-ins
a couple of overnighters to Vernon with some great pool days
playing with an extremely vocal and spunky two year, a creative, inquisitive and adventurous seven year old and a wii-loving, funny and kind, tough four year old.
watching Elf almost on a daily basis (don't ask)

We're not sure how we ever fit work and school into our lives!! I guess we'll find out next Tuesday.

Herald Provincial Park is about 25 minutes from our house and is right on beautiful Shuswap Lake. Early July we headed out and had SUCH a nice time just the five of us swimming, hiking to Margaret Falls, reading, biking and playing Frisbee. It was such a relaxing few days and a perfect way to kick off the summer.

Mid-July we headed out to Castlegar to visit Jared's family and meet our new little niece Sydney Leleux. We had fantastic weather and spent most of the visit playing on the beach with our cousin Kenzie, visiting and adoring little Sydney.

Beautiful Syringa Provincial Park
